What does your typical day look like?

Every day is different at FIECON, but the main purpose of this role is developing and delivering high quality health economics, outcomes research and market access solutions for pharmaceutical clients.

We look for people who can demonstrate their brilliance by great qualifications and experience, specifically we’re looking for:

  • Minimum 2.1 in a numerical and/or analytical scientific discipline (e.g. Maths, Statistics, Economics, Operational Science, MORSE, Biochemistry)
  • MSc/PhD in Health Economics, Medical Statistics, Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics or Econometrics
  • Excellent IT and numerical skills including proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Excellent statistical coding skills using VBA, R, STATA, SAS, SPSS or other software
  • In depth experience of project management and process development
  • Experience of managing and developing a team
  • Strong knowledge and hands on experience/specific training in developing financial models, burden of disease models, cost-effectiveness models, pricing models, systematic reviews, direct/network meta-analysis, survival/statistical analyses, budget impact models, value dossiers, HTA submissions, scientific publications, policy and opinion papers, health service capacity models and iPad models, across a broad range of treatment and disease areas
  • Extensive knowledge of HTA assessment methods and processes, and understanding of pricing and reimbursement systems in the world

The role of a Senior Manager is to manage internal teams to deliver high-quality projects across HEOR/HTA, on time and within budget.

You will also act as the key point of contact for clients to ensure their satisfaction, and proactively contribute to the continued growth of FIECON. Requirements

  • Prior experience in HEOR/HTA within the pharmaceutical industry and/or in healthcare consulting positions.
  • Experience working closely with clients to maintain and build working relationships
  • In depth experience of project management and process development
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in developing HEOR/HTA deliverables across a broad range of treatment and disease areas
  • Strong technical skills and a proven track record developing HTA Submissions AND/OR Economic Models
  • Deep knowledge of HTA assessment methods and processes, and understanding of pricing and reimbursement systems in the world
  • Experience of managing and developing a team

Responsibilities

  • HEOR/HTA Project management (~70%): Accountable for the delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget across one or more of FIECON’s key service areas
  • Provide delivery guidance: Delegate appropriate tasks to the right team members through considered project planning. Review and sign-off content for projects by ensuring that it is accurate and in line with the client's strategic objectives
  • Project planning: With the help of the project management assistant and associates, draft robust project plans, including key milestones/delivery points, accurately forecasting project progress, resource, capacity, and identify potential project risks
  • Budget and efficiency monitoring: Understand the project budget and constraints, and actively ensure expenses and costs are aligned with the project plan/budget
  • Stakeholder relationships: Lead the management of maintaining and improving FIECON’s stakeholder (payer and KOL) database by building new stakeholder relationships and maintain existing ones
  • Team management: Manage Associates and Senior Associates to successfully deliver the project against the plan, coordinate the team’s workload/resources, communicate regularly with the project team, and provide constructive feedback to the team members on a regular basis to support their continued development.
  • Client management: Act as the key client contact, lead client conversations and presentations, and build relationships with the client project team through the delivery of high-quality work, providing strategic recommendations
  • Line management and internal initiative (~15%): Support team members with their personal development plans, be a first point of contact for any questions or issues, and provide actionable and constructive feedback to help team members grow
  • Business growth (~15%): Support the business development team by inputting into proposals and pitches to convert business leads, and actively manage the development of new offerings

Your role

The role of the Corporate Legal Manager is a newly created role, with the purpose of leading the provision of legal advice and support, ensuring FIECON remains legally compliant. You will work closely and proactively with all functions to achieve this. You will champion the management and governance of data and risk, implementing strategies and processes for the compliant management of client data.

Requirements

  • You will be degree level qualified in Law. 
  • Demonstrate previous experience of developing and implementing standards & processes in relation to risk, governance, data and legal practices.   
  • Excellent process development experience, including evidence of the ability to generate new processes and reduce risk. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge and previous experience of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection. 
  • Demonstrate experience of working closely with clients and team members at all levels and building and maintaining lasting relationships.  
  • Demonstrated experience of exposure to Contract Law notably MSA’s, SoW’s, Conflicts of Interest, Data Protection and Corporate Governance and Compliance. 
  • Previous experience working in a consulting environment or working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable.
  • Experience of Property conveyance and of developing Group and International structures would be beneficial but not essential. 

Responsibilities

  • Contractual Processes: Development and management of contractual processes and strategies across the Company. Ensuring the Company operates compliantly, has sufficient controls in place to ensure contracts are completed and all documents are signed on time, achieving favourable terms for FIECON, renewals are flagged and actioned.
  • Contractual Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and support on property contracts whether they be freehold or leasehold arrangements. 
  • Legal Advice: Provide legal advice and support to all levels within the Company to ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and statute, ensuring that FIECON also enjoys best contractual terms. 
  • Legal Strategy and Process: Develop strategies and processes for legal compliance as the Company grows internationally, taking ownership for embedding associated practices.  
  • Continuous Improvement & Compliance: Process review, implementation of required improvements and management of associated processes to ensure compliant activity and ensure efficient and productive processes (e.g., Project contracts, copyrights, conflicts of interest, data protection, intellectual property right).  
  • Risk Strategy: Provide strategic recommendations to reduce the Company’s exposure to risk, developing systems and processes (utilising the ‘three lines of defence model’), for the management and reporting of risk. Develop & maintain inventory of the enterprise information data, including systems and owners. Define indicators of performance and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements. 
  • Data Governance: Provide a company wide data governance framework to improve data quality and protect sensitive data, ensuring compliance with data protection legislation. Develop roles, systems and processes for the management and reporting of data governance procedures and information security policies. Serve as a liaison between Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood, and considered as part of operational prioritisation and planning. 
  • Learning & Development: Develop training within the Company that embeds legal, risk, governance and data understanding within the Company at all levels.

Your role

The role of Executive Assistant (EA) to our founding CEOs is a newly created role. This role is integral and invaluable to the ongoing success of FIECON, you will provide proactive support and organisation to both CEOs. As their EA you will be trusted with all areas of administration and coordination surrounding the CEOs commitments; discretion, confidentiality, personability, accuracy and operating to the highest standards will be vital, as well as having the flexibility to adapt to the requirements of the role as both the role develops, and the company continues to grow.

Requirements

  • Previous demonstrable experience of senior level PA/EA positions, held in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on quality and accuracy.  
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and implementing processes to improve organisation, process and efficiency whilst supporting executive team members.  
  • Excellent relationship management experience, including evidence of the ability to build internal and external relationships to benefit the delivery and success within a support role.  
  • Highly experienced in the drafting of professional and technical PowerPoint presentations 
  • Previous experience working within a consulting environment or experience of working with clients in the pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Organisation and Prioritisation: Proactively manage diaries for both internal and external meetings. Prioritising where necessary and preparing supporting documents or requirements as needed.  
  • Resource preparation and production: Collate information, prepare agendas, presentations or supporting documentation as required for CEOs meetings.  
  • Communication preparation: Collate information and draft or check written communication ahead of distribution to facilitate the CEOs ability to effectively lead the company.
  • Project delivery: Provides leadership to build relationships crucial to the success of the organisation and manage a variety of special projects for the CEOs, some of which may have organisational impact.
  • Travel arrangements: Manage and coordinate all travel arrangements, considering cost and sustainability factors.  
  • Other: Take responsibility for completion of any other ad hoc projects and tasks as requested by CEO’s or Company Review Team members.

  • The majority of the contact with the CEOs will be in or around the St. Albans office so would suit candidates within commuting distance of central St. Albans.
  • Two UK offices located in London and St Albans
