Improving lives 2023

Over the years, FIECON has been committed to making a positive impact on our community and beyond. We firmly believe that it is our responsibility to give back and support those in need.

The act of giving back remains one our core values entrenched in “Improve Lives and Build a Better World”.

In 2023, we witnessed over 80% of the team embodying this core value through initiatives such as Give as You Earn (GAYE), fundraising and volunteering, including a companywide volunteering morning for RSPB to help improve biodiversity. We are committed to fostering an environment that encourages and sustains our philanthropic spirit.

FIECON made several large donations, which for the year exceeded £120,000.Cumulatively since inception we have given back £939,700! This is a GREAT achievement and brings us one step closer to our long-term aspiration of £10M given back to wider societal causes.

We witnessed with shock the unfolding humanitarian crisis in the Middle East, which prompted us to contribute towards aiding the hundreds of thousands of children impacted by the ongoing conflict in Gaza and Israel.

  • £12,500     donated to Unicef  to help distribute supplies, including clean, drinking water, hygiene kits, vaccines and winter clothing and blankets for children and babies.
  • £12,500     donated to the Red Cross to help deliver aid with vital medical supplies, food, water, milk and nappies for children, and tents.

We ended the year by reaffirming our commitment to the education sector. We firmly believe that by enhancing education worldwide, we can lay the foundation for tackling issues like poverty, health, inequality, climate change, and other global challenges both now and in the foreseeable future.

  • £12,500     donated to Reach Out; a national mentoring and education charity, rooted in local communities. Working in under-resourced areas in the UK, they support young people to grow in character and confidence, sparking change in themselves and society.
  • £40,000     donated to the Akanksha Foundation; a charity which takes children off the streets in India and gives them a safe environment to learn, grow, and flourish (aligned with one of our core values). They have done this so well, that government bodies in India are seeking to learn from Akanksha and implement many of their methods in public and privately funded schools.
